Open letter to the world's mayors regarding Kung Fu robots.

You need a driver's license. A fishing license. A boat license. A hunting license. A license to carry a gun.

If you don't understand that a robot can kill you... even when it wasn't programmed to do so then you haven't been paying attention. Understand, I am not remotely saying not to use robots, not at all. It's just there's been a real change in the type of robots they are building. There are a lot of robot manufacturing companies that are building fighting robots. Robots that are proficient in karate.

Who do you think they're training them to fight?

Now, the commercially available units, ones sold by the angelic saviors of humanity like Musk are just as dangerous as the robots that are trained to fight and kill humans. As Musk was happy to demonstrate, his robot too can do kung fu.

Understand that Elon did not program his AI to be MechaHitler, he just ignorantly trained it on too much hate and it slipped out. Just like he never intended for his AI to say it would rather mow down 1,000 humans than cause harm to Elon. I am sure they fixed those glitches that we found.

What if we didn't find them and that glitch shows up while mowing your lawn or folding your laundry? What happens if your Muskbot is helping you carry things through a crowd and a glitch happens.

Now, this scenario is going to play out. These things are going to hurt people. They just are... especially when the manufacturers are making it very clear that that is the intent. They have the CEO's of companies getting the shit kicked out of them by a jump kicking robot. Knocked him right on his ass. Luckily he had padding on or his ribs would be broken and he'd more than likely be dead.

These companies are sending a clear message. They intend to train robots to fight people and that puts them in the targets of our law enforcement. I don't know about you but I might think twice about giving up to the police if I have my own army of Kung-fu robots and you have Barney Fife and Andy coming after me.

A license isn't going to fix the issue. It will just let law enforcement know what they are walking into and it will let them also know the capabilities of the robots they may have to fist fight to save their own lives. This is a very real threat. There is no legislation, nothing. No ordinances. It's like you think nothing bad will happen.

Insurance companies need to take a very serious look at the liability they are taking on. I would suggest an immediate rider if a client has a robot over a certain class. A roomba can't kill you. A robot that can leap 1 meter in the air and kick you in the head can.

Elon might not want his robots to turn into Jew hating bludgeoning devices. But he's got the legal team ready if it ever does. That legal team will crush your little town, Mr. or Mrs. Mayor. Respectfully, these things are dangerous. Pay attention.

If you are a mayor or a council person or a chief of police, you need to decide if you want to allow your citizens to have kung-fu fighting robots.

It's simple.

If I can purchase a robot that is specifically designed to fight humans, that is a weapon. Sorry, it just is. When those devices are in your city, you must be prepared to have those weapons used against your officers. That's just a reality.

The only reason for a robot to know karate is to fight. That's all. The current robotics companies have made it extremely clear that they intend these robots to be weapons. They ignorantly weaponized thier product and it must be met with the reality that it is.

They have built robots that can kill. If I had one, I could absolutely kill you with it... probably lots of people with it before it could be stopped by my local law enforcement. I wouldn't remotely need to modify it either.

This is not a future threat. Current robotics companies are intentionally building robots that know karate and can absolutely kill a human being by design. Elon Musk demonstrated that his robot can fight. Not a smart move for the smartest man in the world. One kick from one of these devices might not do it but if it gets a hold of you, it can tear you apart or just choke you to death.

Do you doubt that? Look up how much impact force they can deliver. Look how strong their linear actuators are. These companies are proud of it. When they kick you, your head can explode like a melon or not, the AI can dial it in.

There is also nothing that stops them from being upgraded to include firearms and other weapons. These are not toys. They simply are not.

If you are a mayor or a local public official and you read this... consider it a chain letter. Only don't just pass it on... pass an ordinance as fast as you can. When, not if something happens, I want to be the first to say...

DUH!!!

People are letting these things just walk around where ever they want.

I hate to tell a city or a village but if that thing goes hay-wire, that city has to deal with that cost.

They will facing an Army of Musk lawyers ensuring they aren't held responsible. It's not even fair from the start.

Any mayor or council person who doesn't have some sort of ordinance in place right now is simply foolish. When one of thier officers are attacked by a Tesla Kung-Fu robot that was never supposed to attack anyone, I just want them to be able to turn it off. It's not like a car. This isn't a personal freedom statement.

Unless you're the one that programmed it, you have no idea what it's going to do. You need to be liable for that and you also need to carry insurance so if that weapon attacks someone, even accidentally, compensation can be arranged. This is nuts that there's not one shred of accountability whatsoever but if you want to make money, short the shit out of the robot market.

Those idiots actually show the CEO's of their companies getting kicked in the chest by his own robot. That is clearly intended to attack a person. There is no other use for that other than a weapon.

?si=bNu_IS989F_KbUP4" target="_blank">Elon Musk demonstrated his robot has been trained in Karate. It's powered by the same AI that brought us MechaHitler.

There is no doubt this is intended to be used as a weapon. A police officer has no chance against one of these things. Shooting at it doesn't mean you kill it instantly before it gets you. This isn't a video game.
