SNL cold open: Is Trump funny anymore?

Is it just me? I don't find any amusement in impersonations, satire, ironic skits, or other 'humor' meant to make fun of that monster destroying people's lives.

Maybe it's just me. Or just me tonight. Or something.

Most of the sketches suck, but it has been that way for decades. Most sketch comedy sucks.

It's hard stuff to write. (I have tried. I suck at it, too.)

If it were written by AI, we'd call it slop.

I've seen lots over the years from SNL that was good, biting comedy. But, one can sit through a lot of acts until there's a real laugh.

Satire ain't funny anymore when it's impossible to tell satire from reality, and reality is far more horrifying than any fictional scenarios you could come up with.

it is truly a mirror to Trump- so imagine how he perceives it. Perhaps a tiny bit useful in that context--short of loading his diaper with porcupine quills.
