You can cite the TOS because you know that we have no specific content rule against posting false information on DU. But it seems to me that it should be simply taken for granted that it is good behavior, not to mention common sense, to avoid posting something fake like this. I don't think the fact that 55 people (so far) have been fooled into recommending this thread is something to be proud of. My suggestion would be to self-delete.

And that has been done in this thread, by myself and others. Self-deleting was a suggestion, which you are free to choose to ignore.

My opinion is that OPs who post fake information should take it upon themselves, out of respect for the community, to self-delete that fake information or post a correction to let people know that it is fake. I will say that the vast majority of the time when someone posts fake information, they do the right thing and take it down or correct it, probably because most DUers do not want to get a reputation as someone who will gladly lie to their fellow community members in order to get recs.

It is identified as incorrect information. Do you have a response to that?

I've seen OPs with deepfakes and fake stories hidden when the DUer didn't correct or delete them after being made aware they weren't real.

I'm not alerting on this and I hope others won't, either, but IMO you owe it to DUers to correct or delete something as misleading as that OP. As it stands, you're tricking DUers who might not see the replies and might copy that fake story elsewhere, making them look like fools.
