Sometimes the holidays hurt.

Somewhat personal, but this year feels bad. Spent time with my buddy's family in FL, all conservative cubans except for the adults my age, who are more moderate. Very lonely feeling. Lot of bad stuff going on and not feeling a lot of joy. Sucks. And I really hope my degree works out.

when I worked I always volunteered to work the holidays so someone else who wanted them off could do so
