He is rather soft-spoken, succinct, and self-assured. There are no theatrics or excessive rhetoric, a Joe Friday type of persona - "Just the facts" kind of guy. To all appearances, he is a man of character and integrity, the kind of person Trump hates.

Not defending Garland, but I think it's clear that he made a great choice with Smith. He just waited way too long to do it, and Smith didn't have time to get the job done.

No big fireworks, nothing new. Just 8 solid hours of consistent, damning, testimony in which he laid out the case for Trump's guilt - and refused to be pushed off course by idiotic "gotcha" questions from the Republican side of the aisle.

I watched it too and it was riveting. The Dems asking questions vs. the GQP weak attempt at gotchas just demonstrated how much they have lied and how messy it is to clean up.

We have amazing , smart, ethical, and persistent Dems representatives.

Hillary did the same at the Benghazi hearings and where did it get her? Those fuckers just keep on and on and ON with their BS unchecked. She shoulda been a two term POTUS if 1/2 this country wasn't so effed in the head. She SCHOOLED those assholes during those hearings and nothing came of it for her.
