Strong words aside, what worries me most is how normalized this all feels. Every line that gets crossed just becomes background noise after a week.

Trump just withdrew troops from LA, and was prevented from deploying troops in Chicago and Portland. Kilmer Garcia is free on US soil, and the indictments of Comey and James have been dismissed…not a very good record for a wannabe strongman dictator.

Despite acting with lawless impunity, over the past year Trump has been stalled, stymied or otherwise restrained on numerous occasions.

Just a reminder of this one absolute truth:

Trump is not omnipotent, and the states and the people are not powerless
