‘One dance too many’: Insiders say Maduro’s ‘public dancing’ was final straw for Trump

In a time of truly crazy news, this might be the most insane thing I’ve ever read…

President Donald Trump authorized the unprecedented attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of President Nicholas Maduro Friday night after having escalated military threats against the South American nation for months, but according to two insiders who spoke with the New York Times, it was the “Maduro’s regular public dancing” that was Trump’s breaking point.

“It was one dance move too many for Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro,” the New York Times reported Sunday.

“Mr. Maduro’s regular public dancing and other displays of nonchalance in recent weeks helped persuade some on the Trump team that the Venezuelan president was mocking them and trying to call what he believed to be a bluff, according to two of the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk about the confidential discussions.”

Maduro has been filmed dancing in public multiple times in the lead up to his capture on Saturday, with several instances being documented in the last two months. He was seen dancing onstage during a student rally to a song championing peace in Caracas in late November, and he was filmed dancing with a robot operating with artificial intelligence at the Expo Motores Productivos event on Dec. 22, less than three weeks from his eventual capture.

Some critics, including Dylan Goforth, executive editor of the investigative news outlet The Frontier, perhaps in jest argued that Trump – known to frequently dance at his own rallies – was upset with Maduro for having stolen Trump’s “swag.”

That had to have made him furious.

But how does this theory line up with other news that the US military had tried to grab Maduro several times last month and failed?

... Maduro is not an idiot. I suspect he moved around so as to confuse those who were hunting him. But, just like our Dear Leader, he is most assuredly hated by some people close to him who wouldn't hesitate to betray his whereabouts.
Our Dear Leader has already dug his grave, politically speaking. The question now becomes, who's gonna shovel it in after him?
His final dénouement can't come soon enough.

Don't recall that about Melania but Trump has a checkered history with Venezuelan beauty contest winners (and beauty contests in general). Likes to call women, "piggies".

Miss Universe 1996 Alicia Machado and Donald Trump controversy revisited, and why she now supports him

Nearly thirty years ago, Alicia Machado’s life changed overnight. Crowned Miss Venezuela in 1995 and Miss Universe in 1996, she seemed destined for global acclaim. But what should have been the pinnacle of her career quickly became a period of public humiliation.

Donald Trump, then owner of the Miss Universe pageant, mocked her weight and Venezuelan roots, calling her “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping.” He later described her as “disgusting,” spread false claims, and even accused Hillary Clinton of helping her gain U.S. citizenship.

I was just trying to make a joke. In the movie "Raging Bull" (1980) Robert De Niro's character became so jealous that his wife had commented on his upcoming opponent's good looks that he pummeled the opponent's face in the fight.

President Donald Trump ordered the capture of Nicolás Maduro after a trivial grievance pushed him over the edge, according to insiders.

Sources told the New York Times in a piece published Sunday that it was the Venezuelan leader’s dancing that was Trump’s breaking point.

Trump had been irritated about Maduro’s nonchalance in the face of escalating tensions between the two countries.

But the final straw came when Maduro stood up to dance to an electronic remix of his own speech, “No War, Yes Peace,” while at the opening of the International School for Women’s Leadership in Maracay, northern Venezuela, in late December.

Trump viewed Maduro’s dancing as “mocking” the U.S., which had days earlier carried out a strike on a dock in Venezuela that the president said was for drug trafficking, two sources told the Times.

Maduro may have been mocking trump but trump is NOT the US
