What a time to quit

I’ll be 74 in a couple of weeks. I’ve made the decision to walk away from two life comforts: herb and alcohol. Easy to do but in these tumultuous, occasionally overwhelming, times of lies and violence, these lifelong comforts will be missed.

Maybe he wants to live the rest of his life with clarity, peace of mind, and good health.

I was never a big drinker, but last time I had one cocktail when I went out, I just felt like crap the next day. I just don't think my 69 year old liver handles it anymore. Also, any amount of alcohol is bad for your brain.

I'm super happy for Beneteau for making his life better. I really believe that it's never too late to change yourself and make things better!

He'll enjoy better clarity of mind, have more energy and a lot more money to spend on other things.

Personally I do not believe all use (herb & alcohol) is damaging. To each their own. Best wishes my DU friend!

I’ve enjoyed the herb for nearly sixty years with no issues. Time to give the lungs a break.

Doctor tells me I’m great shape at this point. No needed medications or serious issues. Still active, enjoying a liveaboard life….sailing, diving, spearfishing, or just enjoying hours snorkeling a reef. Those activities in itself keeps the cranial screaming to a minimum. A local group that meets frequently to plan and protest these absurd times help keep me driving ahead to protect my family from this diseased administration.

I guess what prompted the change was that my youngest quit early last year with the thought of taking better care of herself. Thought I would follow her example. See how it goes….

I’m yer huckleberry.

I never drank much at all actually. Still don’t, I just enjoy better quality a handful of times a year. I never smoked weed, at all. Then they made it legal. I still don’t smoke but I do enjoy a nice THC beverage 1 or 2 nights a week.

For the record, I think this asshole is making it hard to enjoy any comforts of any kind, societally acceptable/medically sanctioned or not.
