Are there any hotel groups that won't rent rooms to ICE?
Hotels are franchised like McDs and Taco Bell with few (if any) mom/pop owners, sounds like an employee at the Hampton Inn cancelled the rooms against Hilton's or the franchisee's corporate policy, though don't be surprised if housekeeping is short staffed at places that rent rooms to ICE
