Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsDonald Trump is not a "powerful" leader.
He is an immoral and unprincipled political figure who is not bound by any laws or social standards. He is a malevolent narcissist. He is willing to do whatever it takes to gain "power" but that does not make him a leader of people. It makes him a leader of criminals.
He lies, cheats, and steals like other people breathe. It is part of his being. It's much like saying "Hitler was a great man". It is disservice to humanity to call either of them a "man".

(3,150 posts)He does have power but is not a leader.
Justice matters.
(9,423 posts)the criminal "vladroe" doctrine (unhinged terrorism, both).
There once was a man craving might,
Who mistook all attention for right.
He grasped after power,
Each rule hed devour
Confusing loud bluster with sight.
Trump claimed he alone knew the way,
Yet truth seemed to slip day by day.
With a boast and a lie,
Facts waved him goodbye,
As honesty wandered away.
A leader, they say, lifts the crowd,
By trust, not by shouting out loud.
But fear was his tool,
And chaos the rule
While law was dismissed and disavowed.
He bent every norm he could find,
Calling scruples a waste of the mind.
Principles? Weak!
Hed scoff each week
As ethics were left far behind.
He promised to drain every swamp,
Yet splashed as he led the big stomp.
With cronies in tow,
The mire seemed to grow
As justice was turned into pomp.
He chased after powers bright gleam,
Mistaking it all for esteem.
But ruling by fear
Makes followers clear:
That force isnt leaderships theme.
For leaders are measured by care,
By fairness, restraint, and repair.
Not by lies stacked high,
Or laws brushed aside
But by lifting the people they bear.

(25,477 posts)We've had many other presidents over the years, ostensibly any and all of them could have done this kind of evil shit, but most of them refrained for various reasons, including emotional maturity.
