Haven't heard it for a long time.

Bob Weir met Jerry Garcia at a music store in Palo Alto in 1962 where Jerry was teaching guitar lessons.

When Jerry's student didn't show up, they started a jam session that lasted, according to legend, all night.

to all things "Dead" dating back to his AAR show and went back to listen a bit. I'm not sure if I was just at an age when other bands were more likely to get my attention or some other reason, but i was only peripherally aware of the Grateful Dead. Still, after the loss of Jerry Garcia, I did go back to listen and can understand why so many feel the loss of Weir so greatly today. May they create music in the afterlife.
