Trump Says He May Veto Extension of Health Care Subsidies
María Paula Mijares Torres and Courtney Subramanian

(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump said Sunday he may veto a bill to extend Obamacare subsidies if Congress sent one to his desk.

Trump’s remark to reporters on Air Force Once comes after nine swing-district House Republicans joined Democrats Wednesday in advancing legislation to revive expired Affordable Care Act subsidies for three years.

The Senate has yet to vote on the measure. It’s unlikely that Democrats will be able to overcome Republican opposition in that chamber, but the GOP will face additional pressure following the House vote.

Lawmakers have also shown concerns over a surge in out-of-pocket Obamacare premium costs for the more than 20 million people enrolled in those insurance plans.

if Trump vetoes a bill ... if the Senate passes one. Would that threat of the Democrats getting the House before November cause Trump to not veto while claiming to have helped people?

He's beat it twice, and no 2027 Senate will convict him with the required 2/3 Majority.

But he doesn't want all the investigations that would come out of a Dem-controlled House.

do that - and more than one is needed.

It might be the parties are too polarized and most of the Republican dissenters have been to the far right. The question is whether there is a moderate or even conservative Representative horrified by how far Trump has gone and how much chaos he is causing. It would need to be a very intense concern as any who switch would be immediately attacked.

That means it has to be people who are strongly against where Trump is taking the country and willing to sacrifice their political future. The problem is many decent Republicans left in his first term and others left or were pushed out after voting for impeachment the first time

This means all we have left are new representatives and people who voted against impeachment after January 6 which they saw with their own eyes. So, of the latter group I wonder if there are any with buyers regret.

Been a couple weeks now, I think. Maybe longer as I don't pay attention to most ads and I mute as soon as I hear his stupid voice. These ads are very Trump v health insurance companies, how Obamacare has been ripping us off, etc. It doesn't say anything about a proper or replacement plan or idea, just Trump is awesome and taking on the fat cats . Which is hilarious.

But, 30% (or more) of our country is too stupid to know any better than shit like this ad. Also water with Brawndo because it's what plants crave.

Tie every republican to certain issues

1. Destruction of the White House East Wing.
No approval or plan.

2. Pardon a convicted drug smuggler, 400 tons.

3. Favorable treatment for a convicted human trafficker of sexual victims.
.

He will wait until after the election for his pardons so it will hurt less for the republicans.

Especially the pardon of Ghislaine Maxwell.

Justice matters.
