William Shatner responds to Stephen Miller

😳 😱
I am so on the same page with you @StephenM!
The fact that they have not cure Hyperopia by the 32rd Century is an abysmal oversight on the writers!😤

Also @paramountplus needs to up the budget because I’m sure that a well oiled organization like Starfleet in the distant future could afford more than one pair of glasses for at least this hyperopic bridge crew.🤷🏼

Do they pass the glasses 👓 around while piloting the ship‽ 🙄

Shame on the line producers!

🤔That is what you meant, right‽ 😉👍🏻

I am ready to assume command of the series!

Call me! 🤙🏻🙂!

that magas, nazis, rwers, kkk, white supremacist, white nationalists, overall hateful individuals and groups like Star Trek?

Stat Trek ideology is the complete opposite of them.

They do not get the meaning of the show. They just see conquerors traveling to other planets and making them 'American'.

It is some serious selective reception, let me tell you!

I hope I can keep my marbles and wit as sharp as Shatner has at 90+ years old. As far Maga types liking Star Trek, it really is a mystery if you try to assign any reason other than they absolutely do not understand a damned thing about the show. Talk about the original "Woke" TV! (LOL) That, and Twilight Zone. Unfortunately, the morality plays are totally lost on them. They couldn't critically think their way out of a paper bag!

I'm starting to think it wasn't written by Bill Shatner at all. Maybe his great-granddaughter?

Miller is going on one of his rants about "OMGZ TEH WOKE!!!" and Shatner turns it into a "oh yea, you're angry about something, it MUST be the glasses that one character wears, right? That is what you were talking about? Right?" kinda thing.

Shatner has already been blasting the Trump administration over the various ways they've been trying to screw with Canada.

Star Trek was a deep cultural stake for 60s progressive ideas. Brilliant writing from D.C. Fontana to Harlan Ellison to Richard Matheson. Daring, funny, smart, sexy.

It's now just another IP handed to generic hacks and "wunderkindern." I don't know that Shatner could give it depth and relevance again. Certainly not by himself. I'd like to see it become a limited run TV series with the quality of writing of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica or, better, something like Fargo, the TV series.
