Seriously, who the hell puts their own name on a memorial built to honor someone else who has passed?
And then he closes it down because nobody wanted to play there with his name on it.
What a psychotic loser.

(29,667 posts)I was wondering what they play at Penn Station or Dulles Airport, but then I realized of course you meant the Kennedy Center. The narcissist wants to plaster his tarnished moniker on everything.
I also thought you meant play sports, so I was additionally wondering if he was going after some famous sports venue now!!

(7,962 posts)They didn't want to move any of the existing letters which are probably bolted into the cement and centered.
Hence the awkward wording:
The Donald J. Trump and
^The John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts.
They didn't want it off-center, and Don isn't dead and memorialized yet.
Someone in their back pocket knows it's going to be removed eventually and didn't want to alter the original lettering.
That, or they didn't want to completely tear it all out and re-do the spacing. That costs money and it was done on the cheap. It's a sharpie-job!
Hope his name is just temporarily hot-glued to the side of the building so they can pop the letters right off with a chisel in 2029.
