We're taking ourselves out and many species with us. The biosphere won;t be habitable for us but the planet, itself, will outlast our trashy species.

However, we won't be around to experience that part so, in theory*, it really doesn't matter, does it?

*I have no idea whose theory, I'm sure there's one out there that fits this thought string.
