One year from now, the presidential primaries will be heating up

Will Noem resign to run for president or will she try to keep her job and run against Vance?

And there will be plenty of "exploratory committee" drama as candidates from both parties submit their initial FEC filings.

I recall when the primaries started in mid-February of election year with NEW HAMPSHIRE.
(None of this hinky Iowa stuff).

Candidate might announce early in prior year in December, last week of December, or even January.

I still think it should be this way.

Or do you mean the talk about who is running will start to heat up? The candidates will start to make more noise for sure.

Some will be exploratory committees. Others will be full announcements. The full field will likely be set by June of 2027.

He can't resign from VP, but as he tries to attract, steal attention from Trump, Trump will almost certainly get jealous. If Vance tries to create space between him and the deeply unpopular Trump, ruh-oh. Trump won't like that. Plus, MAGA generally dislikes him and sees him as a phoney.

I don't think anyone is electable if they go with a "more of the same" message without criticizing Dear Leader
