So God Damn tired of Democrats being held to a high standard while Republican aren't

As a sitting President, Bill Clinton had to sit through a deposition taken by Ken Star that was designed just to embarrass and humiliate the president, yet George Bush refused to sit under oath with the 911 Commission.

Ken Star and Newt Gingrich were having affairs, as they lead the charge to impeach Bill Clinton.

Susan MacDougal spent time in prison for refusing to testify against Bill Clinton, yet Karl Rove blew off a subpoena of Congress without any consequences.

These Republicans; Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, Scott Perry, Andy Biggs, and Mo Brooks, all defied subpoenas of the January 6th Committee, yet the Clintons were threatened with contempt if they did not appear in front of the Epstein Committee.

This BULL SHIT! Do we do it to ourselves? What can't more Americans see the blatant double standard?

This makes me so angry

of Congress they do as told regardless of the morals, ethics, or legality. When we are in control we always have defectors or get-along bros, or simply look the other way.

I'm not saying they are right or that we are wrong - it is just the reality.

And Constitutionally correct. I don't necessarily want us to become unfair and unconstitutional. So far, we haven't had to tear up the old document but that might become a necessity if this midterm is completely jobbed by MAGA. There is a big test coming up in November.

And, in a larger sense, perhaps the soul of humanity.
Humanity isn't very good at learning the lessons of love. We have to get better in a hurry.

The American voter is the needle that will lance that boil.

I'm speaking as a man who has "self-deported" from my father's family. They have always been Republican but now they are MAGA. I can't abide their acceptance of MAGA lies. They have scuttled their honor. Thanks for your response.

of what people will say, repubs don't care what people say, they go and do it anyway, we can see so much corruption on daily basis coming from trump, the trump family and republicans, but no one does anything, and I don't include "says anything" because they do "say anything", but words are useless, the situation demands ACTION!

And Democrats need to stop pretending to put up a fight and then not standing their ground.

If Dems are going to be taken seriously, they need never threaten what they don't intend to do. They need to state a position, stand tall behind that position, and never, ever, ever waiver on that position regardless of what transpires. Don't threaten something they can't deliver on, first and foremost. Because when Dems ultimately cave at any given point along the path, Republicans seize on an act meant as compromise and showcase that as an act of weakness.

It is a question of 'doing something about it'.

Which, no one in the position to get the ball rolling seems interested in starting.

So, we are stuck with it. Until someone grows a spine.

Dems have an aversion to holding Republicans accountable for their actions. “It might look political.”
Then Republicans hold them to account, not caring a whit that the only reason was totally political.

I share your frustration and anger, but it's the voters that have a double-standard.

As a Democrat, I am a member of the only voting bloc in America that is expected and required to hold their elected representatives accountable.

I am proud to be a Democrat because of this very point, but it also makes me so effing pissed I can’t see straight. I feel like I am fighting this Retrumplican fascism with one hand tied behind my back.

If any Democratic President had behaved in the way Donnie Dipshit has, the very first people that would run them out of town on a rail would be the Democratic voters that put them in office.

I predicted that the fallout from the Epstein files will be:

"EVERY person on the "left", no matter how innocuous their affiliation, will be forced to resign their position. It won't matter if it's a political, business, or academic position, just the "appearance of impropeiety" will be enough.

On the other hand, those on the "right" will hold their positions, no matter if there are video of them dancing with Epstein and oogling 12 year olds.

Retrumplican voters are simply NEVER required to hold their politicians accountable.

In this divided country, if just 2% of Democratic Voters hold onto a purity test, you end up with Retrumplican single party rule, 6 of 9 Supreme Court Justices appointed by fascists and drunk-ass, bug-eyed snarling corrupt pieces of amphibian shit as the Secretary of (War), FBI Director and AG!

I advocate for straight-the-fuck-down-the-line VOTING FOR DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES!

Yes, I am a "partisan", but I also know this simple fact: If elected Democrats go off the rails, their voters will VOTE THEM OUT...but, if Retrumplicans drive the car down the full fascist, racist, authoritarian road, their voters will buy them the gasoline.
