Trump is tough- tough to listen to and tough to look at. Other than that he is a weak person. His lack of toughness seems obvious to me but I guess some people have the wrong idea about what makes for a strong leader. I liked Kamala Harris's formula: The strength of a leader is not about beating people down, it's about lifting people up.

Like Putin & Xi & Orban. He fawns over them like a schoolgirl at a K-Pop meet & greet.
I call him something else too but it probably wouldnt be allowed here.

But we HAVE to understand what a lot of people who voted for him were looking at & what they were thinking. WHY did so many Democrats vote for him? Independents?
I have my theories based on interactions with some of those voters. But again, I bring up a couple of those reasons HERE & I'll get flamed.
We just better learn that we cant please everyone if we want to WIN this year & especially in '28

https://www.notus.org/2026-election/young-black-male-voters-democrats-research

snip

If Democrats want to re-energize young Black men, the director of the project that conducted the research said the party needs to embrace a message of both economic and racial justice, even over objections of some Democratic strategists who worry about explicitly addressing racial issues. “Black people are pissed off,” said Terrance Woodbury, a veteran Democratic pollster who led the research. “But them being pissed off won’t result in mobilizing action now and potentially on Election Day, unless we connect the dots to what the federal government is doing and how it is hurting them personally.”

snip

Woodbury said the share of Black people who took concrete action to resist Trump — including voting, protesting or signing a petition — had dropped from 2020, from 34% to 28%. That drop was concentrated among younger Black men, he said, an alarming trend for a group that showed a small but significant shift toward Trump in 2024.

According to the research, 41% of this group (defined as Black men under 50) thought Trump’s policies had hurt them. That’s a much lower share than other groups of Black voters, including men over 50, 68% of whom said the president had negatively affected them.

Nearly one-in-five young Black voters, or 17%, said Trump’s policies had helped them, more than double any other group surveyed. “My warning to Democrats has been what it’s always been, and that is that these are swing voters,” Woodbury said. “They swung in ‘24, they swung back in ‘25, but in 2026 they have the risk of swinging again.”

But God help you if you bring a couple of them up.
But just wait; the GOP will be using these issues in ALL their ads in competitive races. They worked in '24. They could work again.
Independents & turnout wins races. Remember THAT

How about you focus on the young white males who, listen to ridiculous podcasters and influencers who are right wing stooges. Black males are wise enough not to become targets and they did their jobs and voted right. We have been targets for hundreds of years ,they have never stopped abusing us. White folks made this mess they must fix it. Oh yeah not all white people.

Please focus on your white brothers who voted for him in very large numbers. We have voted for dem candidates in the last elections but the majority of white men are still voting republican. You guys need to fix your problem and leave black folks alone.

They showed you the formula for effective protest but you have to step up and lead because they would love for black faces to be seen in the streets. We would get shot and there would be no sympathy. You must fight this regime but you must become uncomfortable.

Meaning black folks. We still vote and support democrats, we are the most reliable group other than maybe indigenous people . Why do you always trot out the nonsense about black men when white men and sometimes white women are the biggest enablers of this illicit regime. Black people didn’t set the country on fire, we saw through his bullshit . White people did . As long as you refuse to fix your house this country will not prosper and we will see what brother Malcolm said about a bloodless revolution.

And - probably about time we wrapped this one up. You have a good one. Talk again in the future.

Reid Hoffman and Mark Cuban will hate it but tough shit.

Many young minorities understand the Dems "anti-racist" stances are largely performative and won't make life more affordable.

Lean in hard to economic populism, wear the hatred of billionaires on your sleeve or we will continue the slow leakage of black and brown voters.

This ‘bro culture is so stupid, yet it’s still getting embraced by meat headed young males, regardless of race.

Many of the USA ice hockey team members (fortunately, some exceptions) are a good example.
