Iran has its Pearl Harbor Day.

Japan struck Pearl Harbor while engaged in active negotiations with the US. The attack was without a declaration of war or other warning. It was a "date which will live in infamy."

The Trump administration was actively engaged in negotiations with Iran that appeared to be progressing. Nevertheless, Trump struck Iran without a declaration of war or other warning. Today is a day that will live in infamy.

Trump called it a war. He is targeting Iran with military forces.

It is an illegal and unconstitutional war, but it is a war.

People unite and close ranks against an external threat. Iranians will not rise up against the Ayatollahs any more than those Americans that hated FDR would have overthrown his administration in the wake of Pearl Harbor.

This country has been swearing the death and destruction of the West including but not limited to Israel and the US. This was going to happen: it was telegraphed for months prior and they knew it was going to happen.

Iran was engaged in negotiations that appeared to be on the verge of "a deal." Instead, Trump attacked.

Trump has engaged in the same conduct as did Japan in 1941. It cannot be justified.
