I go up this morning to the news that we are at War. I haven't really processed it yet. But from what I've seen on CNN (about twenty minutes of live coverage with Wolf Blitzer brought in on the week-end to o the honors), I am getting a strong feeling of deja vu.
Those of you who remember the Iraq War and CNN's cheerleading of it will recognize the extreme fixation on the visuals of weapons and destruction. Very little discussion of why we are doing this.
In fact, right now Wolf is interviewing Rep. Martin Stutzman, a Republican. He did ask him if trump should have gone to Congress, and guess what? The guy, a member of congress, does not think it was necessary. So, I guess it's all cool. :e

You're right, that's exactly how the coverage was back then. Look at the big, big explosions and bomb stuff!!
