Miracle on the Hudson II: LI flight instructor, student survive plane crash into icy Hudson River
Orange County officials told News 12 that the instructor pilot and his student were heading back to Long Island MacArthur Airport around 8 p.m. when they reported engine trouble to Stewart Airport in Newburgh.

They were lucky with all the ice on the river and coming down close to shore.
