We look at Pete Hegseth, who wants to be called the Secretary of War, is out of his league. A right-wing fanatic who just happens to be a drunk. Drunkenness is the least of his problems.
Then there is Tulsi Gabbard, the DNI, Director of National Intelligence, who is mostly ignorant to what is going on in the world. She fancies herself an expert because she once sought advice from the dictator of Syria. Now she is in charge of all of our intelligence.
There is Kristi Noem, the head of Homeland Security. She is a psycho who killed her puppy and doesn't seem to lack any compulsion about killing fellow Americans and will babble on for hours about matters of which she has little or no knowledge.
And we have Kash Patel, the bug-eyed Director of the FBI. A total incompetent that keeps his job because he lies with such sincerity. A dangerous little fellow that is in a position way beyond his credentials. He is ignorant of everything except how to please his boss.
The list of incompetents goes on and on. Until we reach the very top of our government. There sits the most ignorant and incompetent leader ever in the history of this country. His ignorance could kill us all. His response would be, "Well, we all gotta go sometime..."

(5,248 posts)I've been saying since the first time tsf got elected, that the way Putin manipulated tsf reminded me so much, of how Hitler played Stalin. He preyed on Stalin's narcissism and paranoia. Putin has done the same with tsf. If the allies, including the U.S., hadn't have come in against Hitler too, Russia might have fallen to Germany.
The scary thing is whose going to be able to come in and save us from tsf and the retaliation that his complete lack of judgment will bring upon us from other nations, on top of making us more vulnerable to Russia and China?

The consistent persecution of every higher form of intellectual activity by the new mass leaders springs from more than their natural resentment against everything they cannot understand. Total domination does not allow for free initiative in any field of life, for any activity that is not entirely predictable. Totalitarianism in power invariably replaces all first-rate talents, regardless of their sympathies, with those crackpots and fools whose lack of intelligence and creativity is still the best guarantee of their loyalty.
