Milwaukee radio host posts call to 'take out' the Minnesota governor: 'We will be greeted as liberators'

Following news the U.S. military conducted a mission that killed the leader of Iran, a conservative radio host in Milwaukee called for someone to "now take out" the governor of Minnesota.

Dan O'Donnell, afternoon drive host on WISN-AM (1130), which is owned by iHeartMedia, has since deleted the March 1 posts on X.

"Now take out the Supreme Leader of Minnesota. We will be greeted as liberators," O'Donnell posted.

He then replied to the tweet with an AI photo of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz wearing a black turban with the phrase "Death to fraud investigations!" in quotes.

Dan O'Donnell
@DanODonnellShow
Hey everyone,

I want to take a moment to offer my sincerest apologies for a post I made about Minnesota's Governor that, quite frankly, I am deeply ashamed of.

It was irresponsible and completely inappropriate and I have since taken it down. It served only to deepen divisions at a time when unity and basic human decency are most needed.

My primary responsibility as a broadcaster, a father, and a person is to always comport myself professionally, appropriately, and compassionately, and I failed to do that.

Again, I am truly, deeply, unequivocally sorry.

"I'm sorry if my words offended anyone."

Obviously, someone in charge knew he went too far, but as someone else said, he should have been fired.

Sorry, but I don't buy it, not a word of it. He had time to think about what he was going to post and he did it anyway. He's not ashamed and he's certainly not "truly, deeply, unequivocally sorry" about any of it. He probably only wrote that apology to save his damn job.

Call me cynical, but that's the way I see it.
