I'm starting to see more pro war posts...what kind of board is this?

This discussion thread was locked by EarlG (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Seriously asking. Is it permitted now to support this war?

Maybe I chose wisely.

But on point, war is detestable. Non-combat vet speaking.

bullshit

Some of Trump’s Troops are being told that it isn't 'war with Iran' - it's a war to start a Biblical Armageddon: “Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to earth” says one whistle-blower NCO about his commanding officer.

You heard it: a non-zero number of Trump Commanders aren't just fighting an illegal, ill-prepared, ill-fated war against an Iran that posed no realistic threat. To them it's a literal Holy War, start the apocalypse, end times, and then they all get raptured. More than 200 reports of such religious insanity, to a group called MRFF (Military Religious Freedom Foundation) and reported by one of my former MSNBC Coordinating Producers, Jonathan Larsen. MRRF is pushing back against us doing the whole Book of Revelations Crusades thing - and the newest development: the religious nuts in the military are holding emergency bible classes for those who may be deployed.

They're both dead now, but having been raised by them, the trauma still infects my generation SIGNIFICANTLY.

This is why I have been opposed to war since childhood. Every traumatic event reverberates for generations in both the political and personal sphere and I say this with absolute certainty. It is one of the truest things I know.

Hate never heals hate. Only love heals hate - a tragic underutilized truth.

Trying to cause a division. Supporting war is not within the tree hugger lifestyle we believe in. They are just outing themselves. I find it hard to believe anyone who believes in peace, feeding the hungry, living your brothers and so much more would have a bloodlust. I have been to a ton of progressive gatherings, and I have never run into anyone who wanted war on our side. It should be a very last alternative, after everything else has been tried.

As in, vague accusations of vague behavior involving vague individuals, followed by a demand that the community justifies itself, which serves no real purpose other than to get people gossiping, breaking the rules, and causing bad feeling among the members.

If you see someone posting something that you think is prohibited by the forum rules, please use the alert button. Otherwise, my suggestion would be to provide a counterargument to posts that you disagree with.
