A nation of 90 million Iranians isn't going to 'surrender' to Donald Trump

Trump Says There Will Be No Deal With Iran Except Unconditional Surrender

After that, and the selection of a great acceptable leader, we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before, Trump said Friday morning.

https://time.com/7382878/trump-iran-war-unconditional-surrender-demand/

...he's so full of shit, He's not going to get an Iran that's in anyway in American's image or interest by killing more and more with each bomb we drop from the air. And he's not going to get a country of 90 million to agree to install some U.S. puppet.

This isn't about U.S. national security. It's ostensibly a war to take over Iran which is absurd and dangerously delusional.

That’s all this country is, one giant imperialist, capitalist monster.

They want to return things to the way they were under the puppet dictator Shah.

That’s also why they’re threatening Cuba. They want to return it to the way it was under the puppet dictator Batista.

Same with Venezuela and so on and so forth.

They just want to exploit everyone, steal their resources and keep all the money for themselves while We the People pay for the means for them to do so.

And we get nothing out of it.

No healthcare, no infrastructure, no education, no housing, no food……nothing.

might that is effectively independent of Ayatollah rule -- is likely to quell any "uprising" of ordinary people in brutal, brutal fashion.

I continue to be mystified that few are talking about the unique infrastructure of oppression in Iran. Everyone seems to assume we are just up against a conventional territorial defense force.

In Iran, that's the Artesh (regular army) -- about 600,000 strong. Key positions maintain levels of succession. They are a fairly conventional territorial defense that is not embedded throughout every sector of the economy and society.

But it's not the military that has a stranglehold on the people, it is the IRGC/Basij. And that is a COMPLETELY different animal.

Of all the numbers, I find estimates of the number of Basij bases the most mind-boggling.

It's interesting how quickly the suggestion that the Kurds invade Iran was floated and then walked back (more like run back). The prime minister of Iraq was like, "The fuck you're going to launch an invasion from our side of the border," and Iran basically said it's open season on Iraqi Kurd areas if you do.

It was all floated on a Monday and disappeared from view by Thursday.

The shocking reality is that nobody at WH or DoD has any idea about what to do other than "keep bombing." The desperate attempts to dominate the information space is also apparent. Gulf states are now arresting people for posting videos of missile strikes. Crazy stuff.
