Holy shit, the amount of walking shit back this morning will be studied by historians for a generation.
We win when Trump decides Iran is no longer a threat and they pick somebody who is acceptable to him. In other words, there are no falsifiable criteria at all. On the one hand, you might think that that gives him the ultimate power to allow the war to go on forever. But, in fact, the purpose of it now seems to be floating a face-saving way to end the war without looking like a complete clown.
