(13,335 posts)and POW John McCain, is the Hallmark of the yellow bellied draft dodging coward sissy snowflake of his and my generation.
He missed his chance to serve by his own choice, and when the draft dodging label came back to bite him, to make him look small (Oh gee...now I'm president and need to look like I love the smell of napalm in the morning, even thought I didn't serve) so the hat on his Adderall infused skull as an insult makes sense.

(26,485 posts)What do our service members, active or not, have to say about this? What are his advisors saying to him about basic decency, let alone protocol? He makes me sick.

These are the same people who spent weeks attacking Biden for briefly glancing at his watch.
The hypocrisy is absolute. There is no bottom for these people.

(484 posts)My long gone (abusive, from his own childhood, ptsd from ww2 Yorktown sinking) father would of never tolerated any of trump's behaviors, if he was in our family. My dad would of slapped that baseball cap off his head and pushed his head down hard. My father liked to use his belt almost everyday. My childhood was not fun, loving or pleasant, but we (6 children) knew how to act in public at a solemn ceremony. I believe trump is just a bully who never got beat up and learned his lesson. I must say, I never felt the need to spank or hurt my own children. Talking and understanding is usually is enough.

The president was seen during the event standing upright while others bowed their heads. He was also wearing a white baseball cap during the typically solemn event, which was broadcast in complete silence on CNN.
That Trump behavior didn't sit well with numerous analysts, including Assistant Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks, who wrote, "Head unbowed and baseball cap in white. Total disrespect."

Members should salute as the flag passes by. Former military members not in uniform may salute. However, civilians should not salute. As a sign of respect, civilians should instead remove any head gear and place it over their heart. In the absence of head gear, the customary gesture is to place the right hand over the heart.
First President to take the dignity out of a dignified transfer
