After Khashoggi ran into financial problems, he sold the yacht in 1988 to the Sultan of Brunei, who in turn sold it to Donald Trump for $29 million.[3] After a refit, Trump renamed it Trump Princess. To dock Trump Princess at the Atlantic City harbor, Trump obtained special dredging permits which instead of taking three years were accomplished in only a couple of months with support from Roger Stone and the lobbying firm Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly.

A straight is narrow so you can shoot @ a ship from shore. You do not need a navy

Fire some missiles or artillery from a mobile platform and then drive away. Then you will have a burning oil tanker blocking up the Straight of Hormuz.

...crude prices are down almost $5.80 in today's trading.
Typical market overreaction, I suppose. Followed by an immediate soft correction.
Meanwhile, retail gas prices here are up 80 cents a gallon.

And more importantly, the insurer of the ship.

Trump is a moron.

Mr. "Duh" doesn't get it. It's LLoyd's of London that's not insuring the ships. It wants 1 million per ship to be able to get through he strait. He could put 50 K troops there but if Lloyd's says no, then no go.

Justice matters.

Aircraft, missiles, drones...It's a given that none of those things work against ships.

Between the cost of the ship, and the worth of it's cargo, no company is going to authorize it's captain to sail right on through the Strait of Hormuz. Also, no captain is going to risk his life, the lives of his crew, and his ship by doing this.

... staggering stupidity can only be measured in astronomical terms, and he stretches the limits of the Dunning-Kruger Effect.
This is right up there with raking the forests to prevent forest fires, and opening the big tap to release precious water to places where it will do no good whatsoever. It's time for the 25th. But then, Vance knows it'll be his ass in a sling. What he doesn't seem to understand is that it'll be even worse for him if he doesn't invoke the 25th Amendment. The legendary rock and a hard place.
