Trump ally's nuclear detonations post on Strait of Hormuz raises eyebrows

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a supporter of President Donald Trump, shared a post on X stating that “thermonuclear detonations” could create a new waterway as disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz continue amid the Iran war.

Do they think this is still 1945 and the u.s. is the only country with nukes? Even after we used it, we realized what a fucking colossal mistake that was.
Now, at least a dozen countries, that we know of, have nukes. The first one to set off a nuke will set off a destruction of the world that will destroy almost everything on it, as other countries will fire theirs in retaliation. Do t and newt think we will be the only ones to set one off?
