Just an earlier version and ffwd 20 years and this is where we are..A natural devolution I suppose - Rumsfeld to Hegseth.
Rumsfeld was less overtly crazy than Hegseth I suppose. That time they at least pretended the war had a rationale. Bush to Trump..
Outside of dropping nukes it is hard to see how much crazier the GOP could go.
So about that Nobel Peace Prize….
Sometimes I feel our reality is an argument for there being other, hopefully inaccessible, realities. Like the pacifist in 3-body, I would tell parallel realities to stay the hell away from this one. We deserve to be alone. We are awful.

Hegseth is crazy. Is he really still sober? Maybe that ass Musk has convinced them all that reality is a simulation.
It would explain the insanity. Hegseth behaves like a videogame/movie character and not a human being who understands the terrifying amount of responsibility that goes with a job like US Sec of Defense.
