Republicans are such liars, they keep calling the save act a voter ID law. They know it's a lot worse than that.

So of course that’s what the press and all the flying monkeys call it. Voter ID law. I always want to ask them one of them to prove they are a citizen, right now. I resent the fact of they’re accusing me of a crime. I’m an old woman. I’ve been voting at the same place for decades. I don’t need to prove who I am.

Proof of citizenship would be required for those who haven’t registered yet. Those who have already registered won’t have to do so again.

Or get taken off the voter rolls because of a “purge” thus requiring you to re-register in order to vote.

For many people not a big deal - you are speaking in your privilege. For others gathering all of the paperwork and getting oneself to the registers’s office can be an additional challenge because distance, transportation or simply the fact you work during the registers office hours.

The current system is working extremely well. No need to change it. Move onto a real problem.

Maybe they are counting on the fact that their voters don’t move around much

If you are wrongly removed in the frequent purges they are calling for, you will need to re-register. And they are not required to notify you if you get purged.

…. do not mention anything beyond “Voter ID,” so their viewers have an incomplete picture of the bill. I’ve seen a few fascists online insist that it’s ALL about Voter ID. These networks do a great disservice to their viewers. Keep ‘em stupid, with pretty women, and they’ll keep watching and drooling.

Because they care more about illegal immigrants than Americans, according to the Republicans. They are still convinced that there’s rampant noncitizen voting going on. How do you deal with the closed mind like that? When in fact, what we really care about is the bill of rights and the constitution. I don’t know how long all these lame lies are gonna work
