Trump has broken the Strait of Hormuz and the US must fix it.

Inexplicably, Trump did not foresee that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz when he followed Netanyahu's orders to attack Iran.

Trump's attack on Iran was a war of aggression in violation of the UN Charter - a Senate confirmed treaty and, therefore, a violation of US law.

Anyone with half sense would have known that Iran, faced with an existential threat, would play its only ace and close the Strait. Lacking any sense, Trump agreed to Netanyahu's request to bomb Iran despite the predictable response.

Iran has violated International law by closing the Strait. In an extraordinarily feckless act, Trump has ordered a blockade of the Strait, also a violation of international law, albeit a meaningless one.

The problem now is that the international economy cannot survive the Strait being closed. It must be opened. The rest of the world is not going to fix what Trump broke. It will probably require yet more actions of a war of aggression and putting US troops on the ground in Iran and predictable casualties and waste of US treasure.

I cannot find a good answer to the problem.

Why fix Trump's other destroyed locations?

6. Because Trump breaking the Strait of Hormuz will destroy the US and world economies.

There is no choice. If the Strait is not reopened, there will be a world-wide recession (or worse). The loss of just the fertilizer will increase world-wide deaths to starvation.

Trump broke it and the US must fix it.

But US resources are limited and we cannot keep doing clean up for Trump.
It will not be possible as time goes on.

Trump's cabinet is unlikely to invoke the 25th Amendment. Impeachment is a dead letter.

When you elect a clown, the country becomes a circus.
In this case a truly insane circus.

Yes at some point the Dems will have to do all the clean up as usual.
Yes the GOP will never do anything.
They are fine with Trump is doing.

I am heart broken by what I am seeing.

I suspect that there are four aces that Iran has/have.

I don’t think there is any “fix”. Dump has permanently damaged the world economy.

Unless Iran backs down; a highly unlikely proposition, the US will be required to control enough of Iranian territory along the Strait and the Persian gulf to put Iranian missiles and drones out of range.

This is what happens when you install a mad man as US commander-in-chief.

Fixing it means something different to everyone, which is the point. Self interest always wins out. Forced primal instincts. Lower the bar.

Trump broke the Strait and now the US must fix it or there will be a global recession or depression.

There is a mad man in charge of the US military. The result was inevitable.
