They were sharing the same room. An 18 year old and 16 year old stepbrother.
Who thought that was a good idea?

Anna Kepner had been traveling on the Carnival Horizon ship in November with her family. Before the ship was scheduled to return to Florida, her body was found concealed under a bed in a room she was sharing with two other teens, including the younger stepbrother.

I wouldn't think that "3 teens sharing a cabin" is an automatic "who thought that was a good idea?" thing. You'd have to know the temperament of them for it to be seen as a problem.

in which case she shouldn't have been forced to do this.

But there are many families where step brothers and sisters are just like most normal siblings . They can easily share a room and be safe and any argument will be the usual sibling stuff. But there is nothing to fear. It also depends on how long they knew each other. My example is cases where they have known each other for some time.

Sorry.
He sure has stupid, irresponsible parents. Hope they enjoyed the cruise.
