Saw on Blue Sky.

Can someone check Apple maps? Supposedly village names have been removed from southern Lebanon. I don't Apple but they are still on Google maps at the time of this post.

Tried comparing Apple maps on phone and Google Earth on desktop - the scales are grossly mismatched. If a village is missing, I don't know how you'd be able to tell. There are plenty of towns and villages on apple maps right now.

Perhaps it was a glitch.
I don't know about the granularity of Apple but on a phone Google doesn't seem to be different from a desktop when drilling down.

Browsed around southern Lebanon. When zoomed in, they appeared to have very similar coverage of villages, landmarks, infrastructure, etc. Inconsistencies seemed similar to those found in other regions.

There are noticeable differences in how the mapping systems handle war zones. Things like traffic conditions are often disabled. You also get really interesting directions near war zones. For example directions between Chaplynka and Armiansk. The Apple and Google routes are very different!
