Betty Bowers - Bondi

Today, Pamela Jo Bondi, our most recent head of the Department of Justice, is blithely ignoring a valid, legal subpoena requiring her to testify before Congress.

We are not a nation of laws. We are a nation of some people can get away with anything.

Mrs. Betty Bowers (@mrsbettybowers.bsky.social) 2026-04-14T13:44:08.188Z

....

"Former Attorney General Pam Bondi failed to appear on Tuesday to testify under oath before the House Oversight Committee regarding her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Lawmakers had warned that if Bondi refused to testify despite being ousted from the Trump administration, they would move to hold her in contempt of Congress.

“Pam Bondi is evading a lawful congressional subpoena by failing to appear before the Oversight Committee for a deposition about the Epstein files and the White House cover-up,” said Ranking Member Robert Garcia in a statement."

1. We all know that nothing is going to happen to her except a few nastily worded reports in those crazy "librul" tv shows.

Issue orders to the Sgt@Arms to go find her AND DRAG HER ASS TO FUCKING WITNESS CHAIR IN HANDCUFFS.

I'm so goddamn tired of this 'oh, well, somebody ELSE WONT do their job, so I guess it just won't get done.
FUCK THAT.

I'm just pissed cause Bondi is the one I want most. Torn to pieces so small the wolves won't deign to eat them. I want to watch that @#&%s SOUL DIE, live on television.

for the House to exercise its rarely used inherent contempt power, the Speaker must agree and direct the sergeant-at-arms to act. Under this power, the House acts as both judge and prosecutor to arrest and detain someone for refusing a subpoena.

Speaker's Role: As the leader of the House, the Speaker must officially authorize the arrest and detention, as this process bypasses the executive branch (DOJ).

The Procedure: While the House passes a resolution, the Speaker directs the Sergeant-at-Arms to take the individual into custody until they comply, a power not used since 1934.

Alternative Paths: Typically, Congress uses "criminal contempt" (certified by the Speaker to a US Attorney) or "civil contempt" (seeking a court order) rather than inherent contempt.

i was hoping just the dems could do this, but i don't think they can.

But that still won't prevent testimony. Testimony does not equal conviction of a crime.

if Trump pardons her, she can't invoke the 5th since any testimony she gives has been shielded from self-incrimination. She could, however, be prosecuted for lying or refusing to answer... So, go TRUMP, pardon her!
