Geez..I remember when Gas Stations had this machine..called an Air Compressor for the patrons!

(427 posts)Just ask for free air, and they have to give it to you. This s a liability issue, so this is why the law is in effect.

(22,782 posts)In fact, it's not air but nitrogen. There is debate whether nitrogen is better for tires, but I prefer it because it stays in the tire longer than plain air, and the pressure is more stable with temperature changes.
