Due to data center activity in the Richmond (& No. Va.) area HVAC, specifically electronic components, lead time is 40-88 weeks.
Unless contractors are able to procure needed parts quicker or the market changes, we should plan projects accordingly.

How can anyone do business this way...especilaly in an environment where things are expected to happen immediately?

(5,090 posts)Who knows what tariffs or China refusing to ship key components will do over a year or more. Of course we really probably don't need all the centers folks talk about but problem will be could also affect critical projects like hospitals that also need high end, sophisticated HVAC systems to allow infection control/negative air capability and high air filtration.
