Oh, this should be fun for all WH Correspondents Dinner attendees: Grampy's "planning a rage-fueled moment."

Trump will launch a “revenge” attack on the White House media when he confronts them in person at a Washington dinner on Saturday night—then flee before there can be revenge.

He is expected to target publications that he has accused of writing negatively about his administration and his war with Iran, in particular, according to sources.

The Daily Beast is among the outlets the president and his aides have accused of “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Trump will leave the White House Correspondents’ Association event after making his speech, so he will miss the presentation of press awards—one of which would be certain to embarrass him.

He has told aides he has no intention of still being in the International Ballroom at the Washington Hilton when the Wall Street Journal is honored with the Katherine Graham award for its scoop about a bawdy letter Trump allegedly wrote for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday card.

It's really hard for me to "fully" accept this, but that dinner where Obama roasted Trump happened on April 30, 2011, and not only did it appear to be a large part of motivation for Trump running in 2016 (as "revenge" ), he STILL hates Obama with a PASSION for what, to me, were a few harmless jokes. They cut a little deep, sure, but I never bought the "charm" of Trump pointing and bellowing his scripted "You're FIRED" on the Apprentice, and Obama getting the last word in on Trump's racist "birther" conspiracy, to me, was a necessary moment.

Having said all of that, Trump is still seething with rage over 15 year old jokes.

Isn't amazing, when you strip "humanity" and "decency" from the discourse, how EASY it is to go straight to the gutter without the need to fluff it up. Trump was speaking directly to the people who longed for the good ol' days of "COLOREDS ONLY" drinking fountains and rest rooms.

It also revealed a KEY element of Trump's pathology, that he STILL uses today in his social media trolling...if you put it OUT there, once it's SEEN and/or HEARD, it never MATTERS if you apologize for it or retract it. Once it's poisoned the water, once it's reached the intended audience, the damage is done. That's why he'll take down an image of himself as Jesus. He know the MAGAts saw it and swooned, and that he pissed off the libs, and that was 100% of what he attended, so "mission accomplished."

It IS mental illness. I'll never see it any other way or dismiss it as "Oh, that's just Trump being Trump."

No one who matters, that is. There should be a crowd as big as the one Couchfucker just faced.

I keep wondering how many bizarre episodes he has to demonstrate before actual “checks and balances” come into play and they cart him off to the high-security looney bin. *eyeroll*

Trump's 'revenge' meltdown plans leak for White House Correspondents' Dinner: report #RawStory

#TuckFrump (@realtuckfrumper.bsky.social) 2026-04-22T22:21:24.000Z

President Donald Trump is preparing to throw a scripted tantrum at the White House Correspondents' Dinner this year, reported The Daily Beast on Wednesday.

"Donald Trump will launch a 'revenge' attack on the White House media when he confronts them in person at a Washington dinner on Saturday night — then flee before there can be revenge," said the report. "He is expected to target publications that he has accused of writing negatively about his administration and his war with Iran, in particular, according to sources."

This would track with his recent rants on Truth Social, where he has accused of the media of rigging reports about the Iran war to make it look like it's going worse than it actually is.

After he is done with his speech, said the report, he is skipping on the rest of the ceremony — in large part because he doesn't want to stick around for an award being given to a story that revealed his closeness to deceased financier and accused child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

"Trump will leave the White House Correspondents’ Association event after making his speech, so he will miss the presentation of press awards — one of which would be certain to embarrass him," said the report. "He has told aides he has no intention of still being in the International Ballroom at the Washington Hilton when the Wall Street Journal is honored with the Katherine Graham award for its scoop about a bawdy letter Trump allegedly wrote for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday card."

I don't see his "revenge" as helping himself in any manner, whether it's his public image or improved relations with the press or getting anything tangible that he wants.
