The midterms coming up in November are so important! Repugs must be voted OUT.

I’m leaving the Capitol at 4am after Republicans rammed through a vote paving a path for $70B to fund ICE for years without any reforms/accountability. They rejected all Dem proposals to lower your healthcare costs, housing, and gas prices. Spread the word. We need to stop this.

And when Democrats are in power, they can't seem to undo any of it. Strange, isn't it?

Not when you realize why this is happening.

It is both frightening and infuriating.

But, it isn't strange. Or, unexpected.

It is much much harder to ake' things, whether it is legislation or diplomacy.

It took a full year to craft the ACA in such a way that it got the 60 votes needed. (Even then it took an elaborate effort to get the House to pass the Senate bill as it was and a smaller reconciliation bill to include some House changes that were acceptable under reconciliation. Until it passed, there was fear it would fail.

The same with key diplomatic achievements. It took 4 years and a large, very good team to get agreement between Iran and the six countries. It took Trump, one moment to tear it up. The same with the Paris agreement. It also was years of work by John Kerry to get an agreement the US and around 172 countries could agree with. Again, it took one moment for Trump to pull out.

Funding DHS including ICE could be done eventually under reconciliation, a tool we have used when we are in office for things that fit under reconciliation.

That fact has driven me crazy for years! When Republicans are in charge they pass everything they want while the Democrats whine about how "helpless" they are to do anything about it. But when the Demicrats are in charge the GOP somehow blocks everything the Dems want to do when they are in the minority! Why is that? I find it maddening!

One tiny consolation is that he beat an absolute Nazi-phile in the election.

When he was elected he was an enlightened Lefty but he's gradually been choosing the dark side. I'm a Marylander, but I own a damned Fetterman T-shirt and baseball hat -- which I wear, if at all, ironically.

Dr. Oz - on top his Nazi sympathies (a must in this cabinet) - had never voted in the U.S. in his life.

He was, however, an assiduous voter in his native Turkey - which would explain the utter disregard he has for anyone in the U.S. itself.

But then - at least he's a foreigner. What's Cheeto's excuse?!

Which, in their childish eyes, means the Rapepublicans.

It seldom dawns on them - until it's too late - that white Republicans hate them, with a passion that can only be described as Hitleresque.

The vote was 50-48 with ALL Democrats voting against. Paul & Murkowski joined Democrats in voting No, but that wasn't enough to prevent passage. For some reason, this apparently couldn't be fillibustered.

How people, who hold left leaning values, think not voting will bring progressive change, is beyond me.

NONVOTERS: PLEASE BECOME ACTIVE VOTERS - YOUR WELL-BEING and OURS DEPENDS ON IT!

YOUR VOTE MATTERS!

IF IT DIDN'T, REPUBLICANS WOULDN'T BE FALLING ALL OVER THEMSELVES TO STOP YOU FROM VOTING!

... there is no bottom to the Republican's cesspool of malice and depravity. They don't even try to hide it anymore; they wallow in it with big, shit-eating grins.
May they all die horrible deaths, alone and despised by everyone who ever had the misfortune to hear their names.
