Imagine if Eisenhower declared victory on D-Day...

And further imagine if he proclaimed that there’d be a little mopping up to do on the way to Berlin, and then told the British forces that they weren’t needed, and that Africa would take care of itself as well.

And to go a step further, V-J day was declared on June 8, 1942, the day following the Battle of Midway.

Of course you cannot imagine that. It is beyond a lie: it is surreal and extra-dimensional. It’s sort of like lying about your height.

Wait…Orangina does that too.

There is no lie too big to tell. We have graduated from inaugural crowd sizes to victories in wars, some of which existed and some that didn’t. It’s beyond crazy and it is apparently the new normal. A civilization cannot survive when an ostensibly logical system is based upon the lack of distinction between truth and falsity.
