PA-07: Poll Gives Brooks 7-Point Lead In Democratic Primary Chase

In a poll sponsored by the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC, Bob Brooks, president of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters, has forged a seven-point lead over his nearest competitor in the chase for the Democratic nomination in the 7th Congressional District.

The PAC has a mission of electing strong, progressive leaders to Congress who share the Congressional Progressive Caucus PAC’s vision for America’s future.

Brooks, who has never run for political office, received 24 percent support from the survey of 400 likely voters in the Lehigh Valley. Former Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure was second with 17%. Energy engineer Carol Obando-Derstine and former DOJ prosecutor Ryan Crosswell came in next at 12 and nine percent, respectively.

It was noted more than one-third of the respondents (36%) indicated that they had not decided on a candidate. That works out to 144 of the 400 likely voters surveyed.
