Law Professor on Bluesky points out one TEENY TINY LITTLE "inconvenient detail" about the WHC Dinner incident. OUCH.

Let me get this straight. The DOJ is indicting someone who allegedly broke through security with intent to kill leaders including the VP & Speaker of the House.

Has EVERYONE forgotten that Trump pardoned convicted felons who stormed broke into the Capitol with intent to kill the VP & Speaker?

when it comes to the prosecution of the guy arrested at the Corespondents' dinner. In fact, thus far it has been held to be legally irrelevant with respect to the prosecution of the guy arrested for planting bombs on January 5.

I doubt that January 6th will be raised during the gunman's trial. But it should be if only to show how the President is, himself, really no better than the gunman who attempted to murder him.

Trump organized and incited the January 6th riot, refusing to discourage the mob he'd created when that mob started going after Members of Congress to kill them -- especially Democrats -- and also to hang Trump's Vice President, Mike Pence. Now the media is framing the horrors of the story as someone almost breaking through security barriers to murder the president. The irony, of course, is that both crimes are identical --- except January 6th was, of course, much worse and much more damaging to America.

A federal pardon can be issued prior to the start of a legal case or inquiry, prior to any indictments being issued, for unspecified offenses, and prior to or after a conviction for a federal crime

with this bunch of morons?

Also, it's not an "inconvenient detail" at all. It's a feature, as they say. Not a bug. It's working as intended.

...to point out that while I'm sure everyone on DU has it dialed in, it was the first time I've seen it "said out loud" since the dinner. And I haven't heard it said out loud many times before that, either. We talk about it here all the time. I'm thinking of most people I know outside of DU. Hence, the "inconvenient detail" thing was intended as irony / sarcasm.

..Leavitt went on and on about left-wing rhetoric supposedly inspiring violence while completely ignoring the attack on Paul Pelosi, the murders of Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, the targeting of District Court Judge Esther Salas and subsequent murder of her son in their home, etc.--not to even mention the Capitol Riots.

And President [REDACTED] made fun of the attack on Pelosi and shared conspiracy theories about both his attack and the Hortman murders.

Also, I guess somehow the "radical-left" wants to both take your guns so you can't kill innocent school children AND use them to kill politicians in their view.

We're seeing the disconnects with the redistricting in Virginia being met with howls of anguish from the Republicans, and it probably never would have happened if Trump hadn't started it.

Where are the journalists? They should be FOCUSED on this hypocrisy? Why didn't Dana Bash ask this kind of question of @raskin.house.gov instead of suggesting that criticism of Trump encourages political violence?

are having extreme difficulty adapting to these "new" Republican's Dictatorship/Tyrannical take over of the U.S.A..................

AND folks, you ain't seen NOTHING yet...........Katie Bar The Door !!!!!!!!! (I fear it is rapidly becoming too late, if it is not already too late.......) For Four and a Half decades, the Republicans have been inching forward, now they are at an all out Gallop..........

Again I state that the perfect title for a book about the past 46+ years, and most certainly the past TEN years, would be:

WHILE THE NATION SLEPT.....................

And my opinion is.......that almost all of the Dem Politicians in the U.S. House and U.S Senate.... are all walking around with glazed eyes..... STILL napping instead of constantly Screaming their Heads Off..............Still totally dis-organized, and without ANY leadership, consensus, or direction............

Tell me I am wrong...............
