A $400 MILLION broken promise is one big f*cking broken promise. I'm not convinced that America, at large, "gets it"

I think that if I did a poll here on how many people actually believed that Trump would build his $400 million monument to his own ego "exclusively from donations," there would be few takers.

I remember when that creepy little worm with the home perm, Zuckerberg, SCAMPERED out to Mar-a-Lago, $1 million in hand, for Trump's inauguration.

The topic of "questionable donations from foreign entities attempting to buy influence" came up.

Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg & Thiel could split that $400 without breaking a sweat. Just dip into the windfall they got from their billionaire tax cuts in Trump's Big Bullshit Bill.

I know outrage on DU has been high. But in the "real world"...even among my Facebook friends who are anti-Trump, and politically aware / active, I'm, not seeing the outrage.

After dramatic and unconscionable cuts to healthcare, food assistance, veterans' benefits, education, the environment, and more. America seems to be unaware of or indifferent to REPUBLICANS ADVOCATING HANDING TRUMP $400 MILLION of our tax money when the ACTUAL amount we SHOULD be paying is ZERO FUCKING DOLLARS.

I think DU "gets it."

Outside of DU? Not so much.

Meanwhile, the DOJ is handing out million$ to Trump's henchmen: Carter Page got $1.25M; Michael Flynn wanted $50M, but settled for $1.2M; fucking Ashley Babbitt's family got $5 million (for doing essentially what Cole Allen just did...Capitol Police are better shots, though); and only God knows how much the horde of pardoned 1/6 insurrectionists will eventually receive.

As Will Rogers said, "Politicians are just a bunch of local bandits, sent by their local voters to raid the public treasury."

I primarily want him held liable for doing that. AFA building the ballroom goes, I don't really care that much at this point. The damage was done by the tearing down of the old building, not with the building of the new one.
