I did not know that Karl Marx was a promoter of DEI.

In his personal letters he was against homosexuals, jews, mexicans, blacks, and pretty much anyone not european. He was very much opposed to slavery, as it was capitalist enterprise. I do think at the time pretty much every one probably had some views that do not fly these days.
