Donald Trump on Thursday pulled his nominee to become the US surgeon general, Casey Means, and replaced her.
The US president said that Means will continue to fight for the so-called Make America Healthy Again (Maha) movement spearheaded by health secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr. He stated this was despite opposition from Bill Cassidy, the Republican US senator of Louisiana, to Meanss nomination.
Despite Senator Cassidys intransigence and political games, Casey will continue to fight for MAHA on the many important Health issues facing our Country, Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform.
Trump then said he was instead nominating radiologist and Fox News contributor Dr Nicole Saphier for the post of US surgeon general.

Well, she does have an Oxford PhD in Political Science, which puts her way ahead of any Trmp appointee.

Trump praised her as a STAR physician and an incredible communicator, suggesting her decade as a Fox News contributor was as much a qualification as her clinical record.

She earned a degree in public policy at Stanford in 1994.[12] At graduation, she was awarded the John Gardner Fellowship.[13] She was the recipient of a Rhodes Scholarship and began her postgraduate study in 1995 at Lincoln College, Oxford. She had also been awarded a Marshall Scholarship the same year but turned it down in favor of the Rhodes.[14] This made her the first openly lesbian winner of the Rhodes Scholarship.[a][16] In 2001, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil)[17] in politics {sic*} at the University of Oxford.[18] Her thesis was titled "HIV/AIDS and Health Care Reform in British and American Prisons" and was supervised by Lucia Zedner.[19]

*https://www.biography.com/movies-tv/rachel-maddow gives "Political Science" (the normal title) as her major.
Neither Wikipedia nor biography.com mentions that she graduated from Stanford magna cum laude, which was partly why she got the Rhodes Scholarship.

I had to look it up. Trump probably does write more of his social media posts than many politicians though.
