Withdrawing 5,000 troops from Germany only weakens the US. We weren't there to protect Germany.

And I don’t believe he’s going to be withdrawing any troops. This is just bluster. The owners need the supply chains protected and threat of attack to continue their imperialistic exploitation around the globe.

He knows this, he’s trying to extract something from them. He’s looking to wet his beak as usual.

A vast majority of the trumpublicans in the U.S. House and Senate are in serious denial. They are desperately hanging on to the fairy tale that the felon's criminal war on Iran will magically end and everything will snap back to some tolerable trumpian business as ususal.

It won't.

And as the disastrously corrupt regime relentlessly doubles-down on its insanity, like the rotting, zombie corpse that it is, the public will not just vent their anger at the felon, they will start venting their anger at the trumpublicans that keep abdicating their duty to advance an agenda that is destroying the Republican Party and sabotaging the collective future of our nation.

Submissive rolling over and peeing may be normal in a dog pack hierarchy, but watching trumpublicans doing it is both horrific -- because of the consequences -- and cringe-worthy (as hateful and evil as they are, I can't help but feel a little vicarious shame for these pitiful creatures).

While we are guilty on this front in many cases, we have no reason to seek "empire" expansion in Germany. The bases are there to prevent the (ex)Soviets from trying to expand into western Europe.

That’s what one building subcontractor I knew of tended to say in answer to almost ANY question about a building project. The homeowner got fed up and drove to the local hardware store and found the component the builder expected to take two weeks to locate. The homeowner told me the subcontractor was silenced and hung his head for the rest of the project.

DON’T take the time estimate you’re given. Those “estimates” are usually inflated. It’s ALWAYS good to get a second opinion!

go to American bases in Germany for medical care when injured in combat. Dumb move to take US troops away from Germany if it means closing US bases there.

But, who knows? Maybe he expects to need those troops for his next illegal war?

Germany might be better off without US troops on their soil. Less chance of them being used against Germany on one of the Pedo's whims.

18. It also screws with enlistment figures

A LOT of people enlist in the military specifically in hopes of being stationed in Germany. I know when I signed up for my second enlistment and filled out my dream sheet I put on it "send me to Germany." And...that's what they did.

Funny story: I wrote for the unit newspaper. We reported things like reenlistments, and what people asked for. Quite a few of us asked for Current Station Stabilization...if you are being paid to live in Berlin why wouldn't you? I started calling this the "die-in-place reenlistment option" in my articles. About six months after I started doing this the station reenlistment NCO came up to me with this big ol' shit-eating grin and informed me that he'd had dozens of people walk into his office asking for the die-in-place reenlistment option. Yup, here ya go, sign here.

And I do not agree with a lot of places, bases, and military operations the U.S. has around
the world but Ramstein has a first class hospital and a place where our planes and troops
can touch down.

Trump and Hog’s Breath are clueless. Say an U.S. personnel gets hurt or takes sick,
or becomes a hostage someplace and they need help well Ramstein is the place where
“things can be taken care of.”

Btw how can Trump speak with Putin’s dick in his mouth?

Especially if the Democratic party takes both houses in November. The egomaniac will quit NATO and partner with Russia against NATO.

By far, the largest of those operations have been our wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and now Iran -- all launched by Republican presidents.

Personally, I think we would have been better off without wasting so much blood and treasure in those wars.

Of course, that's not why Trump is withdrawing troops from Germany and is telegraphing the same for Italy & Spain. He's miffed they haven't jumped on our Iran War bandwagon.

More telling, he made this move shortly after a long phone call with Vladimir Putin. Strategically, the goal is to weaken NATO at a time when the Russian Bear wants to claw back lands to the west.

The USA needs to exert leadership with our NATO allies in a united front in support of Ukraine against the Russian invasion. Western democracies have not faced such a threat since the collapse of the Soviet Union 35 years ago.

In the existential struggle between liberal democracy and authoritarianism, the current US president is clearly on the side of the latter, as is the Republican Party which looked to the Orban regime in Hungary as a model for our country.

We need to rise up and throw these fascists out, as the people of Hungary did.

520 million Europeans should not need 340 million Americans to defend against 146 million Russians.
Russian can't even beat 33 million Ukrainian's.

The combined GDP of the European Union and the United Kingdom is approximately $27 trillion USD.
Russia's GDP is projected to be approximately $2.66 trillion in 2026
