In late April President Trump pledged to clean up the “filthy” reflection pool outside the Lincoln Memorial in anticipation of the nation’s 250th birthday this Independence Day.Assistant to the President & White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung posted the video of Trump's motorcade driving over the reflection pool on Thursday.

Under Obama, the National Park Service conducted a major renovation of the reflecting pool, which included tiniting the bottom of the pool to improve reflection.
Trump Pools R'Us LLC is currently painting over that tint with non-reflective paint, which will probably cause another algae bloom.
