Many of the cuts from the Orwellian-named “One Big Beautiful Bill” are designed to not hit until AFTER the 2026 midterms, so people won’t feel them right off the bat and blame the GOP. What has not been cut yet will likely begin shortly after the Midterms.

Recently my wife received a letter from SS that said that her Medicare number had been stolen and used by somebody else. They issued her another number and card.

We suspect that the investigation and reissue was a direct result of the recent purge.
