FAA grounds SpaceX's Starship V3 megarocket after Flight 12 'mishap'

Just five days after its debut flight, SpaceX's Starship V3 megarocket has been grounded.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) just declared the May 22 Starship V3 launch a mishap and is requiring an investigation before the huge vehicle can take to the skies again.

"A return to flight of the Starship-Super Heavy vehicle is based on the FAA determining that any system, process, or procedure related to the mishap does not affect public safety," FAA officials wrote in an update today (May 27).

Starship consists of two elements, both of which are designed to be fully and rapidly reusable — a first-stage booster called Super Heavy and an upper-stage spacecraft known as Starship, or Ship for short.

1. Musk is another cult leader

Living down here in South Texas, so close to Musk’s “Starbase” at Boca Chica, I see lots and lots of Musk bros commenting on multiple “space” groups on Facebook. The fawning over Musk and his rockets is nauseatingly reminiscent of Trump. No matter what happens, Musk is “fixing it.”

When they launch quickly and shit blows up, the cult members claim this is progress. NASA takes 10 times as long as Musk. NASA sux, man.

The May launch was the first launch since last October. They took FOREVER to tweak this and change that, and suddenly the cult was all, “well, it’s better safe than sorry! Gotta be sure everything is just right before launching.”

To which I replied multiple times, “Hey, what happened to ‘move fast and break things’?” Crickets.

So the justifications change according to the circumstances and whatever comes out of Musk’s drug-addled brain. But Musk, like Trump, can do no wrong according to these blissfully unaware sick sycophants.
