Judge Henry Faulk defended Eugene Debbs whom President Wilson wanted executed for treason. Judge Faulk got him 10 years. Yellow Dog Democrats had their founding here.

Judge Faulk]s son, John Henry Faulk was born here. He wrote a great book, "The Making of a Liberated Mind" He had a show WABC New York that was syndicated across the country. And was black listed during the Red Scares.

His daughter Mary Faulk Koock opened the restaurant within weeks of the stock-market crash broke her husband's family company. her story is pretty amazing also. Look up the Faulks, pretty amazing family.

My dad was 16 and working there then! Had multiple family reunions in 1961 so the old-timers could relive those days.
