Yesterday

In one night black families were driven out of Marble Falls and Kingsland (just 12 miles up the road). Put them on the train and packed them off to Austin.

Judge Faulk]s son, John Henry Faulk was born here. He wrote a great book, "The Making of a Liberated Mind" He had a show WABC New York that was syndicated across the country. And was black listed during the Red Scares.

His daughter Mary Faulk Koock opened the restaurant within weeks of the stock-market crash broke her husband's family company. her story is pretty amazing also. Look up the Faulks, pretty amazing family.

My dad was 16 and working there then! Had multiple family reunions in 1961 so the old-timers could relive those days.

but the overdressed act, complete with hideous fake nails, doesn't add much to her credibility; in fact, it is a distraction.

She us in a band and I figure she's dressed for a gig because she has done vids without the makeup etc.
